Great episode, really funny. Miley and Nick are my favorite to watch and always have interesting relevant things to say. However, it was getting a little uncomfortable with his hand caressing Miley’s inner thigh throughout the show. But it’s ok Nick is super sexy and can do no wrong!

Forgot to say that ‘The Twelve Kingdoms’ is also one of my fav anime and the light novels (sort of for teens maybe) are even better.

The mini review of railgun was good.

Maybe more people would care about this show if it was a weekly round up of all the latest and greatest episodes instead of blabbing on forever about the oldest, crappiest, shows.

Oh yeah, I second that about the hand-on-thigh-for-20-minutes thing. Can we all just agree to no leg touching during the show?

Yeah, well… if she had a problem he wouldn’t have had his hand there for 20 minutes lol… so it doesn’t bother me…

Wow, Jonathan and Cristina were a great team! And having Jonathan in the review too worked really well! It felt like it flowed better. I think I preferred the chemistry between Jonathan and Cristina better too. It just makes sense that one of the shows presenters be a part of the review segment and Jonathan did a great job presenting and reviewing. He managed the guys well, keep things flowing and rolling and his banter with Cristina was smooth. It just worked.

Really enjoyed the Bailey segment. I always feel like I’m behind when it comes to new anime and having updates on the latest big anime from across the pond was great. The segment really gives the show another level and another point of view. Having different segments actually justifies having presenters too. At the beginning of this series I really wasn’t sure as to why there were presenters, but if the show follows a couple of segments a week I think it provides a valid justification for having presenters.

Miley’s explanation of Japanese college life was really insightful too! It really made me realise that although I know a lot about life already and that helps me understand what I watch and read, I might not always truly understand the story to the extent that the writers intended to portray.

Overall, this was my favourite episode. The perfect balance of positive and negative feedback, insightful and fun.

The fact that she it’s hard for her to even say the name of the anime “To Aru Kagaku no Railgun” and that she gets Misaka’s name wrong multiple times makes me think that she’s never actually seen the show at all.

Also, the male character she was talking about is actually the main character of To Aru Majutsu no Index.

Thought they were a bit rough on the English dub for Genshiken 2. Frankly, they came off as more than a bit snooty Not having lived in Japan, not speaking Japanese, am I some how completely unqualified to have an opinion?

My ancient Greek isn’t good enough to read The Iliad, so I read it in English. It still stirs my soul every time.

Just like Homer is made accessible to the masses by quality translators, so is anime. Are there bad dubs? Sure Genshiken is not one of them. I laughed myself silly watching the dub. Rachel Lillis is comic gold.
