I’m starting to like the new format. I do miss the larger “mosh pit” of opinions, but we lose that in favor of more coherency…which is good.

When I saw the trailer for “Druaga” a month or so ago, I heard “From the director of ‘Last Exile’” and totally freaked out. “Last Exile” is the 10 on which my “1-to-10″ scale is based. But as the trailer continued I became very apathetic and even disappointed. These reviews just confirmed what I had feared…dang it. But hey, that’s what the show is for, so…zippity.

No video cameras allowed in the hot springs! But I did sneak in a digital camera and there are pics up on my Facebook page.

Enigamatic Bard: THANK YOU for mentioning “Last Exile.” That show was one of the biggest surprises when I watched it. Absolutely an amazing, amazing, amazing show.

Bailey. “Last Exile” was my first anime. I know, I know. Late comer to awesomeness. I caught a marathon on, I think, G4 when it was still just G4. I was at a point where I was saying, “You know what? I really need to at least watch an anime so I know what the heck is going on.” Needless to say, I was totally addicted. I’ve spent the last, what, six years trying to find something live up to it.

Of course, I say it was my first anime, but I grew up on “SuperBook,” which I didn’t realize was anime until about a year ago. Crazy.

(And of course, we all love Kaiji’s close-ups because of his “Last Exile” halo.)

Oh WHAT!!! I never in a million years thought anyone would admit to watching “Superbook”! I kept it a secret all these years…do you know of “The Flying House”?
I DARE anyone unfamiliar with these shows to youtube them and be prepared for some old anime that appears more ancient than the dead sea scrolls…

They are so “getting it” with the Casio keyboard in these intros…freakin’ priceless. It so reminds me of Transformers music–on crack.

Be proud! Don’t hide your love for awesomeness! I’ve only learned about “Flying House” in the last couple months as I’ve researched trying to acquire the rights to “Superbook.” Bad news. The company that owns the American rights is doing an American CGI reboot… Sad, sad day.
